Good Morning Everyone,
The trails in the Manitowish Waters area were groomed again last night and are in Very Good Riding condition. There has not been alot of changes, in our conditions, especially with our packed and harder base. For those who missed last weekend, it was a fairly good weekend, right up to Sunday, when the arctic front pushed through. Temps for Sunday and Monday evenings were in the -20 degress+. All that seems behind us now, and we are forecasted to have a relatively mild weekend ahead.(Low to mid 20's for highs). On the snow front, it looks we are currently under a "winter weather watch", for tonight and tomorrow. Current guestimates are in the 3-8 range, which will only enhance the trails. This will be a long weekend, starting with Valentines day,(that's tomorrow guys), and and ending with Presidents' Day. So, expect alot of traffic.
The bottom line is winter is still in full swing, and it sounds like it is for the rest of the state, also.
I plan to give you some trail details tonight, or early tomorrow.
Have a great weekend,
Drive and Ride Safely,
Rich - www.timberlineinn.com
