Manitowish Waters Trail Reports - 03/05/2009

Good Morning,

I thought I'd put out a brief update, for the Snowmobile crowd. First, the forecasted day of "mix", has now been changed to cloudy to partly cloudy. Temps both today and tomorrow, will be near 40ish. Nights, should still be below freezing. Saturday, into Sunday we are now expecting "mix" and then snow.
The trails in the Manitowish Area are generally holding up pretty good. Riders report good conditions in the woods. With the sun and warmth, trails do soften during the day. There are some exposed corners where the typical spring burn is starting to show. All in all, I guess you could say conditions are typical for "spring" riding. The base for the most part remains solid, but as temps warm more and more areas will start to soften.

Winters clock is ticking..but there still is time.
