Manitowish Waters Trail Reports - 03/09/2009

Good Morning Everyone,

Well the effects of "springtime", can be felt and seen in the northwoods. Like most places in WI, we have had a pretty mild few days, and that is continuing today. All of the forecasts for a "mix" this last weekend fell apart. Mild temps, some clouds and sun were the "norm" for the entire weekend. The trails in the Manitowish Waters area felt all the effects you would expect. Areas near, and in town saw snirt, as well as sun exposed areas deteriorating even more. The trails in the woods, are still pretty good, by most reports. So, I guess you could call it springtime riding.
As far as weather conditions, there is a winter storm forecast for Tuesday into Wednesday. If, the forecasts pan out we could have a few really nice days, into the weekend, of riding, on the new snow.
For the skiing crowd, Indianhead still has excellent snow, and power tilled slopes.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to give you an update until late Thursday, or Friday.

Have a good week,

Winter's clock is ticking.

Rich
